The Vitamin B family consists of eight, water soluble vitamins namely B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, and B12.A number of tests can be used to screen and detect lack of B vitamins in people. Tests can be primarily recommended when person shows common signs of Vitamin B deficiency. Signs like rashes, dermatitis, Fatigue, Insomnia, Inflammation of tongue, cracks around the mouth, numbness or tingling of limbs and in severe cases malabsorption. Even though rare a test is also recommended in case of B vitamin toxicity.
