What is leptospirosis?
Leptospirosis is the type of infection caused by corkscrew-shaped bacteria leptospira.

Diet for leptospirosis-
1. Avoid milk and it’s product- Milk and its product is not good during leptospirosis. Milk and milk product like cheese, paneer, milkshake, the custard should not be given to the patients. The milk is rich in protein. High protein food may not be get easily digested in our body.
2. Tea and caffeine- The tea and caffeine are stimulators which affect our nerve. It also does not work well with the medication. Tea and caffeine enhance the bleeding in the lungs. It should be avoided as much as possible.
3. Eggs- The eggs are rich in cholesterol and it is also rich in high protein. High cholesterol food should be avoided during this time. High cholesterol and protein rich food do not get easily digested in our body during these conditions it can enhance the severity of the disease.
4. Cashew nuts and almonds- The cashew nuts and almonds are again enhance the thermal dynamic action as it has concentrated protein like nonvegetarian food. It is not the cooling food. The cashew nut and almond can enhance the severity of the disease.
5. Nonvegetarian food- The nonvegetarian foods like chicken, egg, beef, mutton highly seasoned nonvegetarian food cause problem to our health. It is better to avoid these foods during the diseased condition.
6. Ice cream and sweet- The ice cream are generally frozen dessert it can enhance fever that is our body heat. It also contains concentrated sugar which affects our digestion. Sweets are also rich in simple carbohydrate which affects our digestive system.

2. Immunization and rodent control of farm and pet animal can also reduce the risk of the spread.

8. It is better to tough the fresh water than the mud or other dirty water which get contaminated with the urine of the infected animals.
9. Vaccination of the domestic animal generally reduces the risk of the disease.
