FOODS WHICH ARE HELPFUL AGAINST HIRSUTISM

The hirsutism is the excessive hair growth in both women and men where hair is minimal or absent. The hair growth can be in chest or chin, face and all through the body.

Cause of hirsutism-

  1. HCG- secreting tumors
  2. Pregnancy
  3. Minoxidil
  4. Hyperthecosis
  5. Ovarian cyst – The polycystic ovarian syndrome is a common cause for women during childbearing age.
  6. Hypoinsulinemia ( low secretion of diabetes ) or hyperinsulinemia ( excess secretion of insulin)
  7. Ovarian tumors such as thecomas, granulose tumors, ovarian cancer, gynandroblastomas.

Sign and symptoms-

The hirsutism can affect the member of any gender. In hirsutism, there is an elevated level of androgen level. The high level of androgen can lead to excessive body hair. The hair started to grow in those areas where hair does not grow often. The hair generally grows in abdomen, chest, back, and face.

Food to prevent hirsutism-

  1. Spearmint- The free active testosterone in the blood can be reduced by the spearmint. It means that spearmint can prevent excessive growth of hair. Drinking three or two cups of spearmint can prevent excessive hair growth.
  2. Green tea- The green tea is one of the most amazing things, it works magic for our health. Recent research has found that chemicals in the green tea help to reduce the hormone which leads to hirsutism. Scientist claim that polyphenols are that ingredient which reduces the growth of the hair. The green tea can prevent the action of the testosterone and androgen. It is recommended to add lemon juice, this can increase EGCG in the body.
  3. Lettuce- Lettuce in a salad is quite helpful to prevent hair growth. It has been found that lettuce contains chromium it helps to regulate the blood sugar level in our body, thereby it prevents excessive secretion of insulin from the pancreas. Lettuce is quite effective it promotes healthy weight loss, it is important to include lettuce leaf in our daily diet.
  4. Crimini mushroom- It has been found that crimini mushroom has a good amount of vitamin B3, B5, and B2, this vitamin helps to reduce hirsutism. Vitamin B2 helps to normalize metabolic function and thyroid. The b3 generally control blood sugar level in our body. The b5 also help in proper weight loss which also controls the problem of hirsutism.
  5. Cinnamon- It has been found that excess hair growth is generally caused by the insulin resistance. In recent research, it has been found that cinnamon increase bod’s sensitivity towards insulin. It also reduces body’s blood sugar level and it also reduces sugar craving.
  6. Apricots –  Apricot is the good option to add vitamin B complex in the diet.  We can get vitamin B3, b5, and B6 from the fruit and this vitamin combo help to lose weight. The apricot also helps to reduce hair growth and I also maintain our body’s hair growth.
