Healthy Picnic Meals

Picnics are an ideal way to bond with family and friends and in addition to it they provide a perfect getaway from mundane stress. Everybody likes to sit carefree on a mat under a tree, with a picnic basket at their side, and kids playing with Frisbee while your dog runs to pick it up, every time it lands on the ground.

Good weather and delicious food collectively make a wonderful picnic experience. Obviously we cannot control the weather but planning a right menu can be pretty easy with the below mentioned tips.

Just keep four simple tips when you are heading for a picnic.

  1. Chips make the picnics so monotonous; trade your chips with loads of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  2. If your picnic menu has some perishables, ensure to pack them in small plastic containers and fix them up in an ice chest for transporting.
  3. Carry something nice to drink, seltzer, juice, wine, beer or whatever goes with the company. But nothing replaces water when you are thirsty, so carrying sufficient drinking water with other beverages is must.
  4. No meal is complete without a round of dessert; therefore, do keep some space for them in your picnic basket.
