Introduction:

A ‘berry’ means small, tiny, juicy fruit. So ‘Berries’ are very soft fruits, it is small ,bright coloured, sweet or sour, round in shape and do not have a stone or pit, though many seeds may present in it. According to botanical terminology , a berry is a simple fruit with seeds and pulp produced from the ovary of a single flower.

Names of all berries

From our everyday use and botanical terminology, there are three different categories of berries. Even banana is also a berry in terms of botanical terminology. The world famous and most common berries are Blackberries, Sloe berries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Raspberries, Goji berries, Acai berries, etc.

Fruits like berries are so special as it blessed with some unique and wonderful nutrient combination that make it very healthy fruit even act like natural medicine. Besides its high antioxidant potential, it contents high levels of    phytochemicals, plays crucial roles against cell damage. Berries contain anthocyanidins which helps to make you mentally sharp and if you are above 70 your chances of cognitive decline will be less. American Chemical Society suggests that berries containing polyphenolics, which prevent Alzheimer’s disease by cleaning up the damaging build-up toxins over time.

Berries have more antioxidants than green tea, and packed with vitamin A, vitamin C and E. Consuming these tiny fruits have some amazing benefits of your skin as well your hair. Vitamin A can reduce wrinkles, eliminate dark spot as well. Vitamin-C and E are two important anti ageing substances.

Liver, kidney, cardiac friendly

A fruit rich with antioxidants, flavonoids have always becOme liver friendly, kidney and cardiac friendly. Although there is no evidence of clinical trials ,yet berry used to prescribed by experts due to its capacity to fight against high blood pressure. It is again due to its antioxidant property. It used to fight against systemic inflammation that may accompany high blood pressure. Thus it is cardiac friendly. The chemical components present in berries  helps the liver to reduce intoxication of different chemical exposure, thus helping the liver as antioxidant.
