7 Foods That Never Expire!
Many food items would become stale after a few hours or days, but some specific foods and vegetables may last forever without the need to scan them or store them or freeze or dehydrate. If some are new to the field of the vegetable warehouse, these staples can be an excellent way to begin. According to some research or study, one-third of the food generated across the entire world never reach to the plate of human. There are several reasons why these food and other products are not reaching the people because of the storage problem and the validity of the food; sometimes, it gets expires. According to the USDA, 30% to 40% of the food and its entire supply goes to waste.
Everything has an expiry date or a best buy date, but there are some foods and products that are very stable in their nature and have some properties due to which the life of the products increases drastically. I can’t think of any food that is made by humans and never expires, but there are several natural foods, vegetables, and products that are totally pure and natural. Everything that has been generated through mother nature is a thousand times better compared with human-made food products.
If the food or products is properly contained in the jar or the shell, then it would not expire or get waste as soon. But on the other hand, if the products are adequately packed, then it would easily last long. Whenever the food is expired is not safe to use, so one should always look up to the packed date for better understanding. And if the food you are eating is 100% natural, then no need to worry it would not expire.
White rice
Various studies have found that polished or white rice keeps up their nutrient content and flavor for almost 30 years or more. If it can be stored in oxygen-free containers in temperatures that range below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It is said that rice gets better in taste and health-wise if it’s old. Brown rice, on the other hand, doesn’t last more than six months owing to the availability of natural oils in the bran layer. But regardless of the weather, if you want to store rice in your home, then you can go for it.

Honey
Honey is preferably the only food that would last forever due to the perfect chemistry and the handiwork of the bees and with the support of nature. The nectar derived from the flower gets combined with the enzymes present in the bees’ bodies, which alter the structure of the nectar. The nectar is further broken down into simple sugars and is accumulated in the honeycombs. The processing, as well as sealing of the honey, is primarily responsible for the unbelievable shelf life. Honey and its key elements inside it are said to be the god’s medicine. It contains the nutritious value for everyone on this planet.
Salt
Since sodium chloride is a mineral which is taken from the natural elements of the earth, its shelf-life should come as a natural outcome. It is used for centuries as a means of preserving other food products as it can extract out all the moisture. But this doesn’t indicate that the table salt would last forever. Experts say that the addition of the iodine to the table salt decreases the shelf life of the salt, which means that if the label says that it is iodized salt, it will not last over five years. For around billions of years, the salt is here, and it is no shocking that it would be there forever. Thus from old times, salt has been used to protect the food products from bacteria and germs.
Soy sauce
When left unopened, a vessel filled with soya sauce would last for a significantly long time of period. But it is also dependent on the type of soy sauce and the preservatives used. Even if the soy sauce has been opened, this salty condiment will last for many years if stored in the fridge. The soy sauce includes a very high level of salt, which means that, if the bottle of soy sauce is adequately packed, then it would definitely last for a long time.
Sugar
Quite similar to multiple items, the warehouse process of the sugar determines whether the sugar is going to last for long or not. Granulated and powdered sugar must be kept under an airtight position to steer clear of moisture.
Although retailers are needed to provide the production dates of the sugar, manufacturers say that the sugar remains edible even if it has hardened and become brown. So the form or shape of the sugar may change from time to time, but the primary content sugar never expires. It remains intact and well.

Pure maple syrup
Pure maple syrup, as well as commercial sugars such as granular sugars and honey, has an irresistible life owing to its shield against any kind of microbial growth. Unopened maple syrup shall last forever, and in case there is the formation of mold, boiling it to a certain degree and removing the exterior and ultimately pouring it to a clean and air-tight container would eliminate all the problems. Clarified butter
This kind of butter is boiled unless the total moisture is extracted, which is the reason that it doesn’t go wrong. As long as the clarified butter or ghee is stored in sealed containers under cold temperature, it would last for about 100 years. Thus clarified butter has a meager amount of water content and protein content in it. If you are using clarified butter that is open in nature then it would not last for a long time, but if it is in a shell or container, then it would definitely last for a long time.
