Why am I having hot flashes—could it be menopause, or something else?

Hi,
Menopause is a state when your periods have stopped for completely 12 months. Having hot flashes is an indicator of decrease in estrogen and this can start few years before actual menopause i.e perimenopausal. Not necessary everyone gets it.
