Nationwide Clinics Staff answered 8 years ago Hello, Yes sofas, rugs and beds tend to accumulate a lot of dust and this can be a source of allergy. Also some people might get allergies to dust mites and bed bugs if present. A good option is to use a vacuum cleaner for such surfaces and expose them to sunlight regularly.
