What Should Be The Diet For A Diabetic Patient?
I AM DIABETIC PATIENT FOR LAST 4 YEARS. I AM HAVING gp 1 IN THE MORNING EMPTY STOMACH BEFORE HALF AN HOUR BREAKFAST. I AM WALKING REGULARLY AT ABOUT 5 K.M. PER DAY. WHAT MORE PRECAUTION SHOULD I TAKE ?
Hi, Have small frequent meals at regular intervals. Include more vegetables in your diet. Restrict root vegetables and tubers (potato) varieties to once in 15 days only. Include green leafy vegetables for at least 3 days a week. Do not include rice at night time. Prefer brown rice or parboiled rice, if rice is the option for lunch. Moderation is the key for diabetic diet. Avoid simple sugars like sweets, honey, jaggery, palm jaggery. Reduce oil intake. Do not fast and do not feast.
