6 Simple And De-Stressing Exercises For Your Eyes

In today’s era where technology is widely used one neglected fact is that how using these electronic devices adversely effect your eye sight.

Prolonged usage of laptops, mobile phones, ipads cause immense amount of strain on one’s eye. Dryness, itchiness and headaches are common  symptoms experienced when the strain on the eyes increase. Nobody is to be blamed but the fast paced world expectations that extracts the most of a human potential.

To overcome eyestrain there are few measures that can be considered to relax your eyes and keep them in a good shape.

  1. Stare into the darkness- This method requires you to close your eyes and placing your palms on your eyes. Then hold to that position for a while and relax your nerves.
  2. Move the eye side to side – In this method the face should be absolutely straight and only the eyes have to move to the farthest position on each of the side.
  3. Move the eye in the upward and downward movement  – Similar to the previous method here the face has to kept straight and only the eye balls have to be moved all the way up and down.
  4. Diagonal movement of the eye ball- In this method the face has to kept steady again and the eye balls have to shifted to the down and to the left. After holding for a couple of seconds move it exactly in the opposite direction.
  5. Rolling the eyes in the circular motion-  Again keeping a steady face roll the eye balls in a circular motioncovering all the directions.
  6. Focus the eye for close and distant distances – Focus the eye on an object kept 20 cm to 30 cm away. Then look at something kept further away 60cm to 70 cm. Keep alternating the focus.
