5 Home Remedies That Will Prevent You From Toothache

Toothache is the most common problem that old people face in their old ages and children face in their childhood. Obviously the most common cause of toothache is eating chocolates and chocolates is the most commonly eaten sweet in the early ages of childhood that further becomes major as a toothache and after that as a tooth decay. Another cause could be not brushing your teeth properly and not brushing your teeth before going to bed at night. One should brush their teeth atleast twice a day. If you have toothache then it is best to seek immediate advice from a dentist before the problem worsens. You can also try some natural remedies to relieve the pain temporarily:

  • Pepper and salt

When salt and pepper are mixed and applied to the one’s teeth then it shows positive results for instant toothache because it has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory properties.

Mix equal amount of salt and pepper with few drops of water in it and form a paste. Then directly apply the paste to the affected area and sit it for few minutes and then see the results. Do it for several days.

  • Garlic

Garlic is another effective way to reduce pain because it has anti-bacterial and medicinal properties that helps to achieve the desired result.

Crush the garlic or you can use garlic powder with some table salt or black salt and directly apply to the affected area to lessen the pain. You can also to choose to chew garlic if u feel to do so. Do it for several days.

  • Warm salt water

A simple glass of warm salt water can help treat a toothache. Mix half a spoon of common salt in a glass of hot water and use it to rinse your mouth thoroughly.

It will help reduce swelling and inflammation, and also fight the bacteria that causes infection.

  • Onion

Onion is one of the best way to lessen your toothache because it has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that helps to fight with the infection.

you can chew the raw onion if you wish to do so and if in case you cannot chew then you can place the raw onion on your gums and the affected area.

  • Cloves

Cloves have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties that help alleviate tooth pain and fight infection.

Grind two whole cloves. Mix in a little olive oil or any vegetable oil and apply on the affected tooth. Another option is to dab a cotton ball in clove oil and rub it directly on the sore tooth. Or you can mix a few drops of clove oil in half a glass of water and use it as a mouth rinse.
