Strech marks are atrocious marks on the skin of a person. Strech marks are visible on one’s skin and is off color. Stretch marks are found in the abdominal wall but can also occur over the thighs, upper arms, buttocks and breasts. Stretch marks can cover large areas of the body. While pregnancy is the main cause behind stretch marks, other reasons can be sudden gain or loss in weight, rapid growth, heredity factors, stress and changes in physical condition.
Ninety percent of pregnant women will get stretch marks around their abdomen, hips and thighs and unfortunately they seem to be genetic — if your mom had stretch marks, you too will have that.
There are several ways to reduce stretch marks.

1. Castor oil

Castor oil is generally used in solving skin problems such as pimples, age spots, dark spots,moles and fine lines and can also be used in eliminating stretch marks.
Apply some castor oil to the affected area and gently massage in circular motion. Do it for 5-10 minutes. Use a thin cloth to wrap the area. Then put a hot water bag on the affected area and leave it for half an hour. Repeat it as many times as u can.

2. Aloe vera

Aloe vera is one of the most effective methods in fighting with many skin problems and reduces stretch marks also because of its soothing properties.
Apply the aloe vera gel directly on the affected area and gently massage for 15 minutes. And after some time rinse with lukewarm water.

3. Egg white

Eggs are a rich source of protiens. So, for eliminating stretch marks one should use egg whites.
Whip the whites of two eggs gently with a fork. Clean the affected skin area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg whites with a makeup brush. Allow the egg whites to dry completely and then rinse the area with cold water. Then apply some olive oil on the skin to keep it moisturized.Repeat the process daily for at least two weeks and wait for the postive results.

4. Lemon juice

Lemon juice is another way to lessen all the skin problems such as scars,acne,pimples etc because of its acidic nature.
Simply put the lemon juice onto the scars and gently massage and let the juice to soak into your skin for 10 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

5. Sugar

Natural white sugar has always shown positive results in reducing stretch marks.
Mix the white sugar with almond oil and in lemon juice. Apply the mixture onto the scars and gently massage for 10 minutes before taking a shower.

6. Potato juice

Potato juice contains vitamins and minerals that fosters in reducing skin problems.
Take one potato and cut it into thin slices and then apply the slice on the affected area and make sure that the starch covers the affected area. Allow the potato juice to dry for sometime and wash with lukewarm water.
This will help in lightening the scars.
