The world is moving towards health.The awareness on health and the number of people making an effort to stay healthy has risen tremendously. From health foods to fitness centers we have access to everything. Then why is that most of us struggle to be healthy? We all know the answer food habits,lifestyle and stress.  We do a lot to control our food habits and change them,join gyms, fitness groups etc.After all the struggle we still sometimes do not get the desired results. Have you wondered why?

In all these years of practice there are many people who have complained that they eat right, the exercise a lot and also supplement their diets and even after that they are not happy with their body!! This seems to be a serious concern and needs to be addressed at the earliest.

There are 4 rules of good health in holistic Nutrition

  1. The food we eat
  2. Exercise
  3. Sleep
  4. A positive mental attitude

 

We do steps 1 and 2 religiously and forget step 3 and 4. Our body is like a machinery it cannot run 24X7 it needs rest ans well. Repair process happens only when we are able to sleep for 8hrs un-disturbed in the night. Time and again the importance of sleep has been mentioned and we pay very little attention to it. Now that sleep is important the biggest question is where on earth is the time that we can afford the luxury of sleeping 8hrs? Lets do a life hack for this

  1. Meditate for 15 mins a day.Find your methodology to meditate.
  2. Take a 10 minute mid afternoon nap when the urge is high.
  3. Breathing deeply for 10 mins rejuvenates you instantly.

 

Positive attitude how does that help health? Our mind is an amazing workshop. If you have ever come across the meditation the main idea to do it is to maintain a positive attitude. We come across negativity everywhere around us and the intake of negativity is very high.It leads to health issues like digestion distress,muscle pain, fatigue, sleep issues,headaches, mood changes, anxiety,lack of focus and change in appetite.Studies have shown that positivity releases the happy hormone serotonin.This keeps us away from craving and leads to multiple reactions in the body to remain healthy.What should you do to remain positive

  1. Start and end your day with positive affirmation
  2. Gratitude for small and big things in life
  3. Smile more often
  4. Read your favorite book
  5. Sing
  6. Help someone in need.
