Heart Burn

Heartburn, also known as acid indigestion is a medical condition in which the patient feels a burning sensation in the upper chest or the upper central abdomen. It may be referred as the most prevalent problem which is a direct result of unhealthy lifestyle that most of the population is leading now a days. The indigestion caused by unhealthy eating habits is the number one cause behind the medical condition. However, some of the cases are serious enough to become a chronic condition which further brings obstacles in a productive and stress free lifestyle.

The pain of the heartburn is characterized by many other factors and severity of the symptoms is also decided by a lot of factors. The pain generally begins in the chest and radiates back to the back of the neck, jawline and can often bring a lot of discomfort and pain. The patients heavily affected by the condition may sometime find it hard to breath or lie down and the pain gets worsens. They may be unable to pass the stools properly and the appetite gets affected as the stomach seems full most of the times. Acidity also occurs with more or less the same symptoms, so it is quite important to separate the two based on the seriousness and the complexity of the symptoms.
