Simple Habits To Take Up To Delay Ageing

Stress, lifestyle, exercise routines and eating habits play a significant role in our ageing process. With increase in the number of our years, the length of telomere (end tips of chromosomes) gradually decreases. Telomere controls the ageing of our cells, thus determining our  rate of growing old. With time, our cells cease to renew and hence result in dull skin, loss of glow and moisture, wrinkles and bags under the eyes. A hectic way of living, unhealthy fast foods and a lethargic body leads to inception of several age related diseases and disabilities. With the right habits, we can combat the fast ticking of our age clock. So here it is!

  • Maintain a Healthy Diet

A generous intake of leafy vegetables and colourful fruits serves as an excellent anti ageing practice. Try to include plenty of fresh fruit juice, green salads and abundant glasses of water in your well balanced diet. Reduce too much of sugar intake and resort to anti oxidant replacements instead; such as berries, nuts, seeds and sprouts. Also avoid excess of alcohol and tobacco smoking.

  • Get Plenty of Exercise

Devote at least an hour everyday to some physical activities: such as- jogging, running, cycling, walking or following a standard work out regime. Exercising daily flushes out the toxins from your body, aids in muscle regrowth plus tightening of loose cells and wards off several chronic ailments. One simple tip to avoid continued lethargy is to use the stairs instead of the lift while reaching your office floor.

  • Take Care of your Skin

Pollution and stress contribute a lot in making your skin dull and dry. Cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin everyday before going to bed. Use a proper sunscreen to prevent hyper-pigmentation when you are exposed continuously to sunlight. Follow a weekly routine of ex-foliating your skin with a good srub or wash cloth. This helps in removing dead cells and is another good method for that prolonged young look!

  • Relax and be Happy

Leading a stress free life is the best way to control your ageing timeline. Leave your tensions at office, laugh a lot, take a yearly vacation and rejuvenate yourself with your family or friends in a beautiful landscape. You will be amazed to find that you have cut back on your age by a couple of years at least!
