Food can control our mind and concentration power.

How foods influence concentration?

The good food rich in vitamin, minerals, phytochemicals, and polyunsaturated fatty acid influence our brain. It strengthens the nerve cell and energize them. Good food can keep the energy high in the nerve cell make it more efficient for cognition. Good foods enhance concentration whereas bad food ruins brain cells.

Junk food and how it effect concentration-

  1. High sugar food – High sugar food gets easily absorbed in the body. High sugar lead to false energy splash in the body, after few minutes when body metabolizes sugar to give temporary energy, then it is followed by sugar crush or sensation of the fatigue. This can lead to less concentration.
  2. Deep fried food items- Deep fried food item contains more saturated fat than polyunsaturated fat. Saturated fat can cause brain stoke, due to bad fat elasticity of the neurons get damaged.

 

Good food role in enhancing concentration-

There are number of food it enhance concentration.

  1. Beet – Beet is the great source of antioxidant and iron. It helps red blood corpuscles carry more oxygen to the brain and make the brain cell more active. Beet helps to enhance concentration.
  2. Broccoli – Broccoli is the good source of vitamin C, vitamin K and choline. A cup of broccoli soup or broccoli juice is effective to increase the concentration.
  3. Dark chocolate-  Dark chocolate is the good source of flavonol, it also has anti oxidant and anti-inflammatory property. Dark chocolate in milk will help to elevate mood and enhance concentration.
  4. Egg yolk- Egg is a good source of choline and potassium. It helps to elevate mood and also concentration.
  5. Salmon – Salmon is the good source of omega 3, it helps to remove brain fog and help the brain run smooth. Salmon is helpful with the children with ADHD and enhance the concentration.
  6. Walnut- Walnut is the great source of vitamin E , omega 3 , it improves the cognitive health and enhances concentration.
  7. Bone broth – Bone broth can be taken in between meals. It is a good source of healthy amino acid like proline and glycine and rich in minerals. It keeps nerve cell activity and enhances concentration.
  8. Banana – Banana is a good source of potassium and iron, which keeps the brain alert and enhances concentration.
  9. Spinach – Spinach is loaded with lutein, folate and beta carotene, which help to increase the concentration level.
